Ombre Watercolor and Embossing Paste Background featuring Jess Crafts Digitals and Simon Says Stamp Stencil

Thinking of Ewe Sheep Card by Jess Crafts featuring Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts Stencil Embossing Paste and Watercolor Ombre

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card featuring my sheep digital stamp from my Jess Crafts Etsy Shop. I started by creating a watercolor ombre background and then layering on embossing paste with the Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts stencil. Check out the video for more complete details.

Tips from this card/video:
Watercolors offer a wide range of color depending on the amount of water added so be sure to take advantage to stretch a small set of colors.
Use foam tape over embossing paste to adhere items flat.
Use markers to make digital sentiments printed on white match your card.

Valentine Card featuring Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils and Gerda Steiner Designs Digital Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a Valentine card featuring Gerda Steiner Designs. This little pig holding a heart is so sweet. I recently bought my first set of Spectrum Noir colored pencils and in the video I explain what I've learned so far.

Tips from this card/video:
With colored pencils it is more important to go from light to dark to achieve good blending.
Wrap the twine all the way around the panel to make it easier to tie the bow.
Use a black marker around fussy cut images for a more finished look.

Tips from this card/video:
When creating a scene start with the biggest images and work your way down filling in the gaps.
Use multiple blocks to make stamping faster.
You can draw back in details that are lost during coloring.
