Thankful Speech Bubbles

I wanted to play around with a color fade and my Inktense pencils. I laid down a little bit of yellow, orange, and red then brushed them out to blend. I liked the results but didn't want a full panel with it so I decided to create a simple speech bubble card with the results. Since it was such a simple card and playing with the watercolor was fun I made a whole set of these simple thank yous. The sentiments are from a variety of Lawn Fawn sets and the speech bubble dies are also Lawn Fawn. I think they would be great for guy or girl and I have listed them in my Etsy store. My Etsy store also has some use discounted used stamps and you can save even more with the code WELCOME30.

Simply the Best Mom with Freebie

As you may know I have been learning how to design digital elements and I want to offer some of my simple designs to my blog readers.

Almost everyone could use a great mother's day sentiment at right about this time so my latest freebie is just that.

Simply save/copy the image at the bottom of the post and then print it out. Use it as a card element like I did or simply trim it with a back panel and fold over for a card.

To find my other digital elements check out my Freebies page or shop my Etsy store. If you make a project with any of my digital elements I'd love to see it.

Hello Foxy

I've been experimenting with creating some digital art. Of course I love critters of all types but I wanted to try to create my own critters so that I can tailor them to specific events or occasions. So I created this fox digital stamp and he is available in my Etsy store for just $1 if you would like to use him on a card. In fact since I'm having a 30% off sale he will be just 70 cents. Just print him out and color him like I did. I used a Lawn Fawn sentiment on my card but I did include two digital sentiments with the stamp for you to use if you like.

Best Wishes

This weekend at my LSS I purchased the lovely Avery Elle set Thanks a Bunch. I wanted to ink it up ASAP so I decided to participate in the TIME OUT Challenge 4 to CASE Virginia Lu and the Pink Elephant challenge to use pastels. I stamped the main flower image in some different Distress Ink colors to create a patterned paper strip and then stamped it again with some extras for the focal image. Check out the current Blitsy deals for a great price on Distress Ink.

Wherever You Go

Mama Elephant has a photo inspiration challenge up. I wanted to play with some of the stamps that I got at the ME+KP in NYC event and my new Inktense Pencils. I started by heat embossing the bridge, cloud, and sentiment. I scribbled on a little color with the pencils and then blended it out with water. I pulled my color inspiration from the photo but I am not comfortable with the amount of white space so I let the bold colored panel dominate the card. The stamps I used will be available in a future release from Mama Elephant so I can't link them. Go check out their fun challenge for your shot at joining the Mama Elephant challenge team!

Welcome Baby Inky Paws 9

Interested in deep discounts on gently used stamps? Check out my For Sale page or Etsy shop.

The Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #9 is a fantastic color combination. I used the brand new Wild Child set because I knew the giraffes would work perfect into the yellow aspect of the color scheme. I used Distress Markers to color the giraffes and Distress Ink for the pink background. I cut out the image with a Spellbinders die and then layered it up with some simple papers to tie in all the colors of the challenge.I'm linking this up with Addicted to Stamps Make Your MarkSimon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Not So Mellow YellowPile It On Ink on Paper Stamping, and The Squirrel and the Fox Use a Die Cut.

Loads of Thanks Inky Paws 9

Interested in deep discounts on gently used stamps? Check out my For Sale page or Etsy shop.

The Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #9 is a fantastic color combination. I used the Wagon of Wishes set  because the color combo works great for flowers. I used a simple pan watercolor set that a friend was getting rid of when cleaning her apartment. I cut out the image with a Spellbinders die and then layered it up with some simple papers to tie in all the colors of the challenge. It's hard to tell from the picture but there is a bit of Glossy Accents and Wink of Stella to finish it off. I'm linking this up with Addicted to Stamps Make Your Mark, Open Minded Crafting Fun Sport and Activities (gardening), Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Big Stamp (IO background stamp for pink paper), The Pink Elephant Watercolor, and The Squirrel and the Fox Use a Die Cut.
