Ink Smooshing for Bright Bold Pops of Color

Ink Smooshing and Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte by Jess Gerstner

Hello crafty friends! Today I whipped up a quick card for a two challenges. Over in the Stamp Junkies Facebook group there was a challenge to make a card with pink, orange, turquoise and white. I decided to use an old favorite technique to add some quick bold color. I did some ink smooshing with acrylic blocks. If you're not sure what I'm talking about I'm sharing an older video with the technique. I love my flower shaped blocks because they are comfortable to grip and make a great shape for this technique. Once I had some great bold color I decided to tie in the Lawnscaping challenge to use watercolor. I used my Distress Inks to watercolor the little cup and then fussy cut it out for a quick and simple card.

Christmas with Winter Alpaca for Lawnscaping Challenges

Happy Holidays Card by Jess Gerstner using Lawn Fawn Winter Alpaca

Hello crafty friends! Today I'm sharing a card for the latest Lawnscaping challenge. Today's challenge is Christmas! We want to see your last minute Christmas projects or get a head start on next year and be sure to include some Lawn Fawn goodies. So for today's card I created a custom background with a stencil and then layered some embossed panels. I used the adorable alpaca from Winter Alpaca since I had an extra already cut from another project. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Toboggan Together.

I was able to get a really beautiful look to the butterflies by using Ken Oliver Color Burst on gloss cardstock. Check out my video for more on this card.

For today's card I used the Lawn Fawn Flutterby, Violet's ABCs and Party Animals stamps.

One Layer Card with Masking for Lawnscaping Challenge 114

One Layer card by Jess Crafts featuring Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Hot Air Balloons

Hello crafty friends! Today I'm sharing a card for the latest Lawnscaping challenge. Today's challenge is one layer! We want to see how you use your Lawn Fawn stamps directly on your card base to make a one layer card. This is such a tricky challenge butit can be fun to go outside your comfort zone. So for today's card I stamped and colored some of the fun images from Blue Skies. Check out my video for more on this card.

As you saw in the video there was a lot of masking to give this one layer card dimension. Also a quick tip when you are trying to blend out to white with Distress Ink try to use a light touch with only a small amount of ink on your blending tool. You can always add more color.
