Mama Elephant Color Challenge 1

I'm not very good with color challenges. I prefer to keep it simple and work with a single paper line but I wanted to share a creation with my Mama Elephant stamps. I have used them before but I don't get to share much because I'm only home during the daylight on days I don't have work. So I took advantage of this time off to enter this challenge. I used the colors and it may be hard to notice in the picture but I sprayed the card with glimmer mist to add the glitter element. The stamp set is Believe in Magic. The papers are from my November Paper Made Bakery Kit.

Hello everyone!  This week at Anything But a Card we have a fun an easy challenge.  The challenge theme is Celebrating the Light or Seasonal Holiday. You can take the Challenge's light aspect and do something that represents light- candles, fire, sun, etc. lights, lamps, etc or do something related to a Winter Holiday- Channukah, Yule, Christmas, Kawanzaa.  The choice is yours! For this challenge I created these simple treat holders by putting rub-ons and gems on paper circles. Shopping Our Stash #79

Hello! I'm so excited that it's December and I can officially start preparing for Christmas. I understand the idea of respecting the seasons and not decorating for Christmas in October but after Thanksgiving I just feel like it should be time to start. But I held off the extra week. I hung up some fabbie Christmas cards today and tomorrow I will be adding the Christmas books to the shelf at school. I can't wait for all the fun crafts with the kids. Anyway I had fun adding to my Christmas card stash while drinking from my Owlie Christmas mug this weekend. This card is for the Shopping Our Stash challenge to use up Odds and Ends. The square gems are something my mom generously picked up but I don't reach for b/c of the strange shape but I'm using up some today. The papers are Basic Grey and the stamps are Lawn Fawn and Mama Elephant. This is also for the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge

Anything But a Card Challenge 7

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing my project for the Anything But a Card challenge blog.

We are moving to the sea for inspiration for this challenge- you can use anything sea/ocean related- colors, marine life, mermaids, beaches, sand, etc. and/or let the picture inspire you!

My project is a page from my Instagram mini Smashbook. I love Smashbooks and this book had been a fun way to share my Instagrams since they are too small for a 12x12 LO. Can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge.

ABAC Challenge 6: A Stitch in Time

This week the challenge at Anything But a Card is A Stitch in Time. You can use any element that represents time- watch, clock, clock parts, stopwatch, hour glass, calendar, dates, postage stamps, etc  AND/OR stitching- real or faux! I hope you will be able to join us and share your project by next Saturday.

This week I'm showcasing my album for my trip to France last spring. There are lots of elements of time in this album because there are calendars and dates to keep track of events.

My album was made with a Smash book base and which I think made the album so quick and easy. I'm not the most up to date scrapbooker so I was happy to have a simple way to make sure that this album got done.

Everyone was asking about the trip and it was great to be able to simply hand them the scrapbook.

Paper Made Bakery October Kit

I wanted to share all the cards I made with the October Paper Made Bakery Kit. There is enough material including cardstock to make 10 cards but there is always plenty leftover and of course the stamp set keeps giving.

As you can tell from my cards, the bees and bird from the Fresh Squeezed The Sweet Life stamp set were my favorite.

The Bazzill Basics Avalon collection and stickers were also fun to play with.

The variety of buttons and ribbon also force me to get a little creative because I tend to stick to just patterned paper even though I own tons of fun embellies.

I packaged up most of the leftovers with some additional cardstock to pass on the my sister and I'm sure she'll get another about 8 cards out of it. Love these kits!

CAS(E) this Sketch #4

I love the sketches at CAS(E) this Sketch but I also love patterned paper so it's a bit tricky for me to be as CAS as others but I'm trying. I created this card with my Paper Made Bakery kit from October. The November kit was revealed yesterday so be sure to check it out. Can't wait for mine! Anyway those little flowers and the sentiment are from the Fresh Squeezed Stamp Sweet Life set. Check out the sketch below. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch 3

With Hurricane Sandy headed our way we are cooped up inside trying to ride out the storm safely. Which means a day off of work and some extra crafting time. However the stormy weather doesn't make for good pictures of the card. I made this simple card for CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge 3. I'm loving their sketches and I'm trying keep my cards CAS which can sometimes be a challenge in and of itself. The papers are Kaisercraft and from the latest card kit from my LSS Scapper's Cove. Loving all the cute little creatures from this line but I'm running out of paper to pair the creatures with. Anyone else in the path of Hurricane Sandy, be safe!

Anything But a Card Challenge 5

This week at Anything But a Card we have a simple challenge that can also help with any last minute Halloween projects. The challenge is to use black in your project. The DT has created a variety of fun projects so check them out for some inspiration and then get to work sharing your creation.

Squeeze-A-Palooza Challenge 1

Fresh Squeezed Stamps is hosting a fun challenge that they have dubbed Squeeze A Palooza. This month the challenge is to make a Halloween project using Fresh Squeezed Stamps or the free digital stamp they provided. The best part is you can win one of their fabulous stamp sets. I created several cards using the Subway series stamps with a Halloween theme. There's only a few more days to enter your card so go grab the digi or your stamps and get started.

Cas(e) This Sketch #2

Last week I saw a great sketch on someone's blog but couldn't remember where it was from then luckily I stumble upon CAS(E) This Sketch once again and got pretty excited. Loving these sketches and this time I am sharing my card with the sketch and am able to link it up. Sorry for the crummy photo but I took the original in the good format and when I realized this the sun was already down. Anyway check out these fun and simple sketches. It's a bit of a challenge for me to make a card CAS but it's fast which is a benefit. The stamps are from Fresh Squeezed Stamps and paper is from my Paper Made Bakery kit.
