Scrapping for Less August 2019 Kit

Hello crafty friends! I'm excited to share with you the latest Scrapping for Less kit of the month. I am a big fan of Scrapping for Less kits and I'm always able to make a bunch of cards with their kits. This month's exotic creatures theme was fun to play with. Be sure to participate in the full hop for your chance to win! Next up in the hop is at the bottom of the post.

DISCLAIMER: Scrapping for Less sent me this kit in exchange for participating in the hop and sharing my inspiration with you. However, I work with Scrapping for Less because I enjoy their products and pervious feedback from my audience indicates they like and appreciate these posts.

Message from Scrapping for Less: Who doesn’t like critters? One of my most favorite type of cards to make are cute little critter cards. Well, this month we have some fantastic cute critters as exotic animals! Join in the hop and see what wonderful inspiration our design team and guest designers have brought to you today. You will find this month’s selections on the subscription page. Lots of extra goodies as well too on the a la carte page. After hopping head on back to the Scrapping for Less blog to enter the Rafflecopter.

I have 10 cards to share with you today and you can check out my 10 Cards 1 Kit video below to see them all being made and hear more about my process:

Many of the cards used the sketches included and I did focus on the main kit as opposed to the Banana Split level so that the ideas would be helpful to everyone picking up a kit.

I colored up all my images at once and wasn't really paying attention to the kit at the time and was bummed to realize that the paper in the kit had brown sloths and mine were gray. But luckily I was able to make it work and actually made some extra cards with that set of paper.

Speaking of coloring here are the Copic markers I used for everything in case that's helpful to you:
Meerkat: E50, 53, 55, 74, 77
Tree Branches: E74, 77
Leaves G14, 16
Parrots: R 24, 27, 29 E40, 41, C7, 9, W00, B24, 26, Y15, 17
Sloth: C00, 1, 3, 5, 7
Chameleon: RV 34, 17, 19 BG 15, 18 YG 21, 23, 25

I love that the sloth part of the kit came with some sloth themed paper that meant I could make cards without using stamped images.

How adorable is this meerkat from Newton's Nook?! I'm not sure I've seen a meerkat stamp before and I LOVE it!

The papers from the parrot collection were probably my favorite especially the green leaf paper I put my focal images on. Perfect for making the parrot look like he is sitting among the trees.

I hope you've gotten some inspiration from my cards and enjoy checking out the rest of the hop! Next up in the hop is the talented Donna!

Scrapping for Less April 2019 Kit

Hello crafty friends! I'm excited to share with you the latest Scrapping for Less kit of the month. Check out the video for the most details or keep scrolling for still pictures and quick tips.

I have 10 cards to share with you today. Most of them used the sketches included and I did focus on the main kit as opposed to the Banana Split level so that the ideas would be helpful to everyone picking up a kit.

These ducks were just too cute. I based my choice of Copic marker colors on the coordinating patterned papers within each mini kit.

Copic colors used:
Duck: Y11, 13, 15; V12, 15, 17; YG11, 13, 17; YR 14, 16
Bees and Hive: Y 11, 13, 15; C00, 1, 7, 9
Birds: B 34, 37, 39; R 35, 37, 39

I often hesitate to cut up those gorgeous full sheets of cardstock just to us tiny slivers on cards but I'm happy with the results and felt it was necessary to make some of the sketches work with the patterned paper.

Which do you like better the frog or the ducks? The frog was a bit faster to color and those cute little flower sequins add a great finishing touch.

The words on the patterned paper made for some easy quick cards and these were in fact some of the first I made to get the creative juices flowing.

Loved the pretty detail of these wooden butterflies!

The original stamp set had tails on these birds but when I accidentally tore one off I realized I liked the look better anyway and cut off the other tail.

I hope you've gotten some inspiration from my cards and enjoy checking out the rest of the hop! Next up in the hop is the talented Kristina!

Cards with Pink and Main March 2019 It's a Party Card Kit

Hello crafty friends! Today I'm sharing all the cards I made with the Pink and Main March 2019 It's a Party Kit. This kit is currently sold out but I think their kits are a great value and if you are impressed with the contents I would recommend checking out future kits. Here's my video tutorial for the cards:

I technically made 20 cards but I made 4 of each of the 5 designs so there are not 20 unique cards. I used some sketches as inspiration and will link them below.

10 Cards 1 Kit | Spellbinders July 2018

Cards with the Spellbinders July 2018 Card Kit by Jess Crafts
Disclosure: I was given this kit free to work with and share. Affiliate links are used.

Hello crafty friends! Today I am here with the July 2018 Spellbinders Card Kit. I found the contents adorable and I was excited to work with it. I have a video sharing some inspiration from the kit as well as more information under the video.

Today I am sharing 10 cards with the kit. I stuck almost exclusively to the kit contents except for using a black pen, die cut machine, and a paper trimmer. What is awesome about this kit is that it comes with adhesive and card bases so it is a very inclusive kit that will work well for crafting on the go or for someone who hasn't built up a large stash yet. The cards and envelopes also mean that you can send the cards right away. All cards are A2. Keep scrolling to see pictures of different designs.

10+ Cards 1 Kit with Scrapping for Less May 2018 Kit

Hello crafty friends! Today I am here with the May 2018 Scrapping for Less Countryside Card Kit. I found the contents adorable and I was excited to work with it. I have a video sharing some inspiration from the kit as well as more information under the video. This post is sponsored (i.e. I received the kit in exchange for my work) and contains affiliate links.

Today I am sharing 12 cards with the kit. I stuck mostly to the kit contents but I did use two basic die sets. Since these sets are just squares and rectangles you don't need them and could use something similar from your stash but if you are interested in purchasing them from Kat Scrappiness use the code Jess10 to save. I used the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Rectangles and Stitched Scalloped Squares.
