Happy Tuesday

Here's some different projects I've worked on recently but am just sharing now. The Father's Day card was made for the Let's Scrap Design Team. Right now the design team is in a bit of a transition as some great new members are added. You can see the rest of the Father's Day cards at the DT website. Also as you might recognize this card was made with a Digiments digital sentiment. Digiments door buster sale is over but you can still purchase all 30 Digiments for $20!

This little gift card holder was made using packaging from some small pens I bought. I covered it in cardstock and then decorated it with some SEI papers. I think it will be great for many occasions. I'll leave you with another picture from our recent hikes. This is a female Common Yellowthroat Warbler. We saw her and a male at the same time and it was a very exciting find since we have not seen them before or since. This week we are planning some very early morning birding trips so I should have some other interesting pictures to share soon.

Let's Scrap Sketch

I did this LO based off of Renee's sketch from Let's Scrap. I loved the sketch and knew it would translate into an easy LO. The picture is of my little cousin and her dog. I used some old DCWV paper, BG rub-ons, green foil Thickers, and a Making Memories journaling stamp. I love those journaling stamps, they make it quick and easy to add journaling to any page. Here's the sketch if you'd like to give it a try.

In other, exciting, news I will be joining Renee's DT as a member of the card DT at Let's Scrap. They have lots of great challenges all the time and I look foward to working with all the lovely ladies there.

Mojo Boosting Challenges

This morning I didn't have much mojo but was determined to work on something so I made this simple card based off of the 365 Cards use five squares challenge. I also incorporated the Pink Elephant monogram challenge. I needed a few more thank you cards and this did the trick. Also a DT member at Let's Scrap challenged us to use faux or real stitches so I added them to my squares. I guess I just needed lots of challenges on one card to get my mojo going.

Lots of Projects to Share

I've been doing quite a bit of crafting but have been neglecting my blog. So I have quite a few projects to share. First here's a card I made using stamp kissing. I haven't done the technique much and honestly don't have too many stamps well suited for it but it was fun to try something new. I made it for the Stamp It! Week challenge at Papercrafts.

Next is my card for the GCD Studios sketch challenge. My card didn't win but Grace's LO was amazing. I still haven't applied to their DT call because I must admit I'm a bit intimidated. They have 250 entries so far, but since I love their product and have made so many projects with it already it can't hurt to try.

Next I have two projects from the SNR weekend crop. The first one was for a color challenge using green, orange, yellow and pink. The GCD Studios Spring All Over line was definitely well suited for this challenge

Next was a bug challenge. You had to include two bugs on your project. I choose two ladybugs from Studio G. The K and Company paper I used I got at a real bargain because it was a 6x6 pad with two sheets missing but it was down to 75 cents instead of $3 so I was happy to buy it. I wish I would have had more time to participate over the weekend because they had so many great challenges so I look forward to future crops there.

Lastly two small toots for me. First the lovely Renee from Let's Scrap choose me as artist of the week which is very flattering. Also I was in the Top 3 over at the Pink Elephant Blog. I love their challenge and I was so happy to know they liked my card enough to include it in their top 3. Their blog hop this weekend was great and they shared some fantasic projects.
On the first day of spring it snowed here in Jersey, but I'm still happy to say that its officially spring. I hope everyone will be getting some spring weather soon!

Let's Scrap Sketch

I've recently discovered an online community and challenge blog called Let's Scrap. This month Dayna created a sketch for everyone to use and I based this card off the sketch. I used the SEI papers that you can get at Scrappy Jo's during her awesome clearance sale. I also used some Colorbok chipboard and a Studio G Stamp. I've spent the day organizing my Christmas goodies in preparation for my return for school. I'll be moving back to my dorm on Sunday and want to have all my new supplies witih me to enjoy.
