Paper Piecing a Coffee Loving Duck for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! I have my next card for the Summer Coffee Lovers blog hop today. My Style Stamps has the fabulous Coffee Lovers set but as you know critters are more my style and I wanted to bring in the summer theme of the hop so I decided to make the duck from Waddle You Up To holding the small coffee cup from Better Together Two. Check out the video for more on how I made this all come together. It's a short (under 5 minutes) video so you can get back of the hop.

The paper collection I used is Let's Polka 6x6 pad from Lawn Fawn. Be sure to join along with the hop to win great prizes from fabulous sponsors like Newton's Nook and Gerda Steiner Designs!

Stretch Your Stamps to Create an Emboss Resist Background with My Style Stamps Build a Blossom

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card featuring My Style Stamps. I used the scribble flower from Build a Blossom as a sun on a background. I love to use my stamps in ways other than how they are clearly intended. By taking advantage of the way the flower looks like the sun and stamping it all over for a background I was able to stretch this set. For more on the card check out the video.

Camel Birthday Card featuring My Style Stamps

Camel Birthday Card by Jess Moyer featuring No Line Copic coloring and What Cake? from My Style Stamps jesscrafts.com

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card for My Style Stamps that features some intense Copic coloring. I started by stamping the camel from What Cake? in Angel Pink Memento. Using this light ink makes it possible to get a no line coloring look. I traced over some key elements like the eyes and candles with a Copic multiliner then used by E 31, 33, 35, and 37 to color the camel.

I colored the background with some R 46, 37, 27, and 17. For a finishing touch I added Liquid Pearls over the icing from the image and some simple heart sequins to fill in some of the extra space.
