Birthday Card featuring the Turtle from Newton's Nook Designs In Slow Motion

Birthday Card for a Guy featuring the turtle from Newton's Nook Designs In Slow Motion

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card for the Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge. This time it is a theme challenge. The theme is birthday which is perfect because I could always use an extra birthday card in my stash. Today's card features In Slow Motion. Check out the video for more on how I made this card.

As you might be able to tell with some of these past few cards. I am trying to use my patterned paper a bit more. I have purged a lot of it but I still have a lot to use. I feel like I should get bonus points for using ribbon too. Slowly but surely tackling some of that old stash.

Hello crafty friends! Today I'm here with something a little special. A video sharing two cards. First my wedding invitations and then a just made thank you card featuring the same elements for the newest Lawnscaping Calling All Critters challenge. I used Lawn Fawn's Sending Hedgehugs on both cards but also the Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks die.

Paper Piecing a Coffee Loving Duck for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! I have my next card for the Summer Coffee Lovers blog hop today. My Style Stamps has the fabulous Coffee Lovers set but as you know critters are more my style and I wanted to bring in the summer theme of the hop so I decided to make the duck from Waddle You Up To holding the small coffee cup from Better Together Two. Check out the video for more on how I made this all come together. It's a short (under 5 minutes) video so you can get back of the hop.

The paper collection I used is Let's Polka 6x6 pad from Lawn Fawn. Be sure to join along with the hop to win great prizes from fabulous sponsors like Newton's Nook and Gerda Steiner Designs!

Summer Coffee Lovers Hop featuring Create a Smile Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a card for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Since I saw the Coffee First stamp set from Create a Smile I wanted to use the tiny coffee cups with a critter so I paired it with the octopus from Underwater Love. Check out the video for more on how I made this card.

I did some water coloring with Koi watercolor and Distress Markers on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I can't wait to see some of the fabulous cards on this hop and be sure to join us with your coffee card before June 12th.

Creating a Custom Monogram Background with Gerda Steiner Designs Playful Kitten

Custom Monogram Card by Jess Crafts featuring Gerda Steiner Designs

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing how to create a custom monogram background on a card. I created my own cardstock stencil by drawing a block J and cutting it out then stamping through it with a small stamp. Check out the video for more.

The stamp set featured on the card is Playful Kittens from Gerda Steiner Designs. To easily get the ombre look for the J I used the Hero Arts Pink to Red Ombre Ink Pad.
