Card Patterns Sketch 83

Student teaching has kept me super busy and tired. When I get home after a day in the classroom and 2 1/2 hours on the road I have very little energy left, even for cardmaking. But this weekend I decided I had to take some time for myself. I was inspired by the Card Patterns sketch although I used a rectangle shape instead of an oval because I was using the Pixielicous elements. Pixielicious is a very cutesy line, but I tried to tone that down a bit to go with the more elegant font of the rub-on sentiment.

CPS 183

Last weekend when crafting with my mom, I created this card for the CPS challenge but it took me awhile to get good light. I was a little intimidated by all the strips on the side, but then I thought these tiny roses from DeLovely would work great. Creating this card made me fall in love with DeLovely all over again because I love that it is so bright and cheery.

Cosmo Cricket LO Challenge

This week the design team at Cosmo Cricket created cards and LOs inspired by the Cosmo Cricket homepage. They issued a challenge for all Cosmo Cricket fans to make creations inspired by the same LO for a chance to win Matilda. I used the Pixielicious line to create my card. I loved the beautiful image from the element sheet and saw it as a good opportunity to show a Hero Arts stamp set some love. I started my student teaching this week and today was the preschoolers first full day of school. Between the kids and the hour and half each way trip I'm exhausted but loving it.

SEI Pup Luv

Today on the SEI blog they are featuring projects from the 3D challenge including this accordion mini album I made with SEI Ally's Wonderland paper. It is mostly a photo album for my cousin of pictures of her dog. I included extra pages for more pictures or for journaling if she wants to add any.

Creative Scrappers #119

I haven't made any LOs in a few weeks and so I wanted to play with a LO sketch for a change. I was lucky to get some SEI Moravia papers and stickers on sale and I thought they went great with these pictures.

I used sketch 119 from Creative Scrappers. I added some thread and use the gel pen for writing but everything else is from Moravia. I love the flocking detail mixed with the shine. I made this LO for my cousin about her dog when he was just a puppy although he was one big puppy.

I decided to put together a quick card from the paper as well. I wanted the bold flocked paper to be the focus but added to the shine with the leaf brads.

Etsy Inspired Challenge 103

Another Etsy Inspired challenge this week. I've been wanting to get a head start on Halloween cards because I know of at least two people who will be expecting them and I don't want to forget. I love the Eerie papers and stickers I picked up on clearance. The Caged Fairy is the etsy shop this week and she has so many fab jewelery pieces. I was inspired by this cool blinged out skull ring. I made sure to add some bling to the skulls from the Eerie stickers to go with the ring.

CPS 182

Last week at the LSS I treated myself quite a bit (even though I only spent about $20) including my first few sheets of Bella Blvd and Echo Park. I pulled out the Echo Park papers for this card based on the CPS sketch. I paired the paper with an old diecut and an even older Studio G stamp. Love when new papers can make old products look fresh again.
