Stamper's Best My Hero Set

I am committed to sending a box of cards to Operation Write Home. In fact my box is full now and will be going out next weekend after my mom and sister add any extras they have. I wanted to send some Any Hero mail with my box though and this is where Stamper's Best comes in. Not only do they offer fabulous military themed stamp sets perfect for Any Hero mail they also donate $1 for each Operation Write Home set a customer buys. So I bought the My Hero Sentiments set and my order came with fab Operation Write Home stamp below (which you need for the back of the cards you send). I am so happy with the quality of this set and have used them on all my Any Hero cards.

Below are two simple cards I made to send as Any Hero mail featuring my current favorite sentiment from the set. It sums up the purpose of the card and the star for the 'dot on the i' is a great touch.

Little Tangles #7

The newest Little Tangles challenge from Neat and Tangled stamps is a sketch challenge. It took me two tries but I created this simple card with Crate Paper paper and the Little Bear set. I have been using up paper and making cards for Operation Write Home and this one will be in the box I'm sending soon.

Anything But a Card Challenge 13

Over at Anything But a Card we have a kind of eclectic challenge this week. Based on it being the 13th challenge out theme is anything related to superstitions, magic, fortune telling, gambling, the number 13, 13 embellishments, the sky is the limit!  With this in mine I included 13 owls across my layout. I have been trying to scrapbook all of the old family vacation photos I have. I've actually made a pretty good progress  so far too.  Anyway I hope you are able to take on the challenge with us this week.

Chinese New Year Blog Hop

Emily Leiphart set up an awesome blog hop with many fabulous sponsors including Avacado Arts, Fresh Squeezed Stamps and Mama Elephant. These awesome sponsors offered free digis and great prizes so please check out the hop for your freebies and chance to win. The digi I used on my card is from the super fab Deasy Designs.

Little Tangles and Pumpkin Spice Shop

Here is a card I made with two challenges in mind. The Little Tangles challenge is to make a love themed card preferably using Neat and Tangled stamps.  The only set I have so far is Little Bear but the sentiment and cute bear worked fab. I used Basic Grey True Love papers and added Glimmer Mist and paint to a chipboard heart. The Pumpkin Spice Shop challenge is to make a valentine so it came together easily. I'm thinking this valentine will be perfect for my aunt who loves bears.

Happy Mail for Grayson

Danielle from Neat and Tangled is hosting a card drive for a very sweet boy/family going through a tough time. I created some space themed boy cards that will hopefully cheer up Grayson and his big brother Aydan. Find out more at the Neat and Tangled blog and then make your cards. You have until the end of the month to send them off. This is also for the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Anything But a Card 12: Share the Love

Today at Anything But a Card we begin a new challenge perfect for the season: Share the Love- anything related to hearts, Valentines, love sick, love struck, love stinks, red, cupid, honeymoon, wedding, get the idea?  So this is a nice broad category that should generate lots of fantastic entries!  Be sure to link yours up at the challenge home. Also check out the other fabulous DT projects. For my project I used my Paper Made Bakery Kit and the Fresh Squeezed Hot, Hot, Hot stamp set. It's a simple jar to hold coffee for a valentine's treat to my mom.
