Hello crafty friends! I'm excited to share with you the latest Scrapping for Less kit of the month. I am a big fan of Scrapping for Less kits and I'm always able to make a bunch of cards with their kits. This month's spring critters theme was fun to play with. Message from Scrapping for Less: Spring is Here! Finally! Our April Flavor of the Month kit is all about "Spring Critters" cute ones at that! So hop on along and get inspired to make some spring cards with this adorable kit. I have 10 cards to share with you today. Most of them used the sketches included and I did focus on the main kit as opposed to the Banana Split level so that the ideas would be helpful to everyone picking up a kit.

These ducks were just too cute. I based my choice of Copic marker colors on the coordinating patterned papers within each mini kit.

Copic colors used:
Duck: Y11, 13, 15; V12, 15, 17; YG11, 13, 17; YR 14, 16
Bees and Hive: Y 11, 13, 15; C00, 1, 7, 9
Birds: B 34, 37, 39; R 35, 37, 39

I often hesitate to cut up those gorgeous full sheets of cardstock just to us tiny slivers on cards but I'm happy with the results and felt it was necessary to make some of the sketches work with the patterned paper.

Which do you like better the frog or the ducks? The frog was a bit faster to color and those cute little flower sequins add a great finishing touch.

The words on the patterned paper made for some easy quick cards and these were in fact some of the first I made to get the creative juices flowing.

Loved the pretty detail of these wooden butterflies!

The original stamp set had tails on these birds but when I accidentally tore one off I realized I liked the look better anyway and cut off the other tail.

I hope you've gotten some inspiration from my cards and enjoy checking out the rest of the hop! Next up in the hop is the talented Kristina!
