Ocean Critter Series Day 3: Create a Smile and Alcohol Inks

Hello crafty friends! Today is the third day in a week long series at my YouTube channel where I will be sharing cards and projects featuring ocean critters. I will also be having a small giveaway for those who leave comments on my videos. I will be using a variety of different ocean critters including today's octopus from Create a Smile Stamps. I am combining him with their fabulous dies. For my background I'm using Ranger Alcohol Inks on Bazzil vellum. I have a full description of the project in my video tutorial below.

This card is also for the Create a Smile monthly challenge. This month the theme is Blue. This is perfect for summer and my critter series. I used blue as the dominant color in my background and finished the card off with some of the lovely blue twine Christine uses to package up orders.

I'm a huge fan of critter stamps as many of you may know and so several months ago I created a Facebook Group to connect with other critter lovers. You can join us at Critter Loving Cardmakers and Papercrafters. I'd love to see you enter the giveaway on my channel and come share with the group. Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Chemistry Day 1: DIY Distress Ink Pad

I signed up for Creative Chemistry 103 at Online Card Classes. There is a ton of great information in these courses that really help me understand more about how I can use my Ranger products. After watching the videos from Day 1 I finally decided to actually ink up one of my DIY Distress Ink pads. I was so scared to commit to a color scheme before, but then I realized "duh!" I love rainbows so why not a rainbow pad. With my new rainbow pad I stamped some images from the Newton's Nook Beautiful Blossoms and Beautiful Wings stamp sets for a simple and bright birthday card.

Ocean Critters Series Day 2: Distress Background and Jess Crafts Digital Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Today is the second day in a week long series at my YouTube channel where I will be sharing cards and projects featuring ocean critters. I will also be having a small giveaway for those who leave comments on my videos. I will be using a variety of different ocean critters but today I'm using my very own digital stamps. This seahorse is part of my Fish Friends digital stamp set and in the video is a coupon code for you to use when purchasing these stamps. I created my background with Distress Inks and I have a full description of the project in my video tutorial below.

Rainbow Die Cut Card featuring Newton's Nook Designs

Rainbow Feathers Card by Jess Crafts featuring Newton's Nook Designs

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card featuring Newton's Nook Designs. Of course there are many cure stamps at Newton's Nook I opted not to do any stamping today. I started with a roll of washi tape and create a rainbow paper for myself and then die cut the large feather from Points and Plumes. For more info check out the video.

As much as I love stamping it has been fun to play with more and more dies from Newton's Nook. I hope this inspires you to play with your dies and washi to see what fun you can come up with.
