I was recently inspired to color this adorable stamp from the Reverse Confetti Girl Power stamp set and give her a new hairdo. So I checked out the latest Stock Your Stash challenge to see if the theme would fit. The theme this month is Encouragement/Congratulations so I decided to pair her up with an encouraging phrase from the Say It All stamp set. I love how you can color the sentiments in that set to coordinate perfectly with the colors from the image. I think keeping the color palette limited really makes a clean and simple card stand out a bit more. There's still several weeks left so be sure to check out the challenge!
Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing how to use up 6x6 patterned papers without creating any patterned paper scraps. A friend shared that this style of cardmaking can be referred to as a one sheet wonder. I'm not sure who originated the style, as I have seen many crafters refer to it, but please let me know if I should be crediting a specific crafter. Today I am sharing how to cut up a 6x6 piece of paper that will result in 2 of the exact same card. However in order to mix up the patterns because this is single sided paper I am cutting 2 sheets for a total of 4 cards. I am using cardstock to mat the patterned paper pieces which will create some cardstock scraps. In the video I share some ideas of what to do with those scraps. In this blog post you can find a template for how to cut your paper as well as a sketch to show what should be done with those cuts. Of course feel free to mix it up to your own liking.

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a set of cards for the Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash challenge. I purchased the This Says is All stamp set because I wanted to color in the sentiments to give them a great presence on a card. But for today's cards and video I decided to switch it up and use a bunch of the sentiments to create a background. I've use stacked sentiments on cards many times and this set is perfect for it. The Stock Your Stash challenge for the month of October 2020 is Thanksgiving and Friendship theme. I decided to go the friendship route since I did not need any Thanksgiving cards. I love all the encouraging sentiments in this stamp set.
